The recent scandal involving President Biden’s classified documents has raised serious concerns about his commitment to transparency and accountability. Despite his promises to be fully open and transparent about anything related to the White House, his administration is now refusing to allow Congress to see these documents.
This is particularly concerning given the fact that the head of the DOJ was appointed by President Biden, making it difficult for Speaker McCarthy to get any help from any appointed Secretary appointed by President Biden. The DOJ’s refusal to release these documents has only fueled suspicion that the administration is trying to cover up something.
The fact that these classified documents could potentially charge President Biden with possible felonies is all the more reason why Congress should have access to them. It is not enough for the administration to simply say that they are investigating the matter themselves; the American people have a right to know what is going on and whether their President has broken the law.
The Biden administration’s lack of transparency on this issue is a serious cause for concern, and it raises questions about whether they can be trusted to uphold the principles of openness and accountability that are so vital to our democracy. As citizens, we must demand more from our elected officials and hold them to a higher standard of transparency and accountability.
