Supreme Court rules 5-4 to repeal California Covid-19 restrictions on religious gatherings

April 12, 2021 by Robert Jordan

The Supreme court gives religious victory on covid-19 victory against California’s covid-19 restrictions. Friday nights victory saying that California’s law infringes on constitutionally protected religious rights in a 5-4 vote. Again Chief Justice John Roberts voted with the other 3 justices against. Chief Justice John Roberts is a huge disappointment for freedom on religion. Today California followed the Supreme court and Chief Justice Robert is so liberal I wouldn’t be surprised they would ban the Bible if they could sad for those 4 loser Justices. I mean it is like they almost all the time go against religious freedom. I hope all Americans send messages to the 4 loser justices to read the bible.

(Editorial addendum: In the past we at Shockwave.us thought that John Roberts, being Chief Justice, would side with the conservative wing of the Court if his vote would not make any difference, mainly so he could write the main opinion. In doing so, Roberts could set the tone for future similar decisions, in this case removing the “sting” (as seen by the left) of such a decision by bringing up points of contention (literally, a “dissent” within the “assenting Opinion”). In fact, this was a case that was tailor-made for such a decision on the Chief Justice’s part.

(However, Joe Biden recently signed another Executive Order setting up a “bipartisan” commission in Congress to review the current 9-member makeup of the Supreme Court. It was rumored that if the Chief Justice would not side with the liberal wing of the Court, the decision to pack the court would be made much quicker, and as such there is no room for Justice Roberts to play with opinion shaping. -MR)
