Supreme Court reverses voter laws in Arizona; has national implications

July 1, 2021 by Robert Jordan

The Supreme court came out with two decisions on Arizona’s new law that prevents ballot harvesting, reversing the decision by the 9th Circuit that banned the law in the first place. The decision was 6-3, with the justices rendering a decision based on their own political persuasion. President Joe Biden spoke out against the decisions, which increases the security of the chain-of-custody requirement for the ballot process. In addition, this decision will most certainly have implications with the DOJ lawsuit against the state of Georgia, who recently passed more stringent voting laws of their own last March. It will help stop fraud, making people wonder whythe president is for ballot harvesting, as he previously had been a stalwart defender of the integrity of the ballot process through over 45 years of legislative and executive experience.
