Fox News relights their Christmas tree which was set afire by a homeless man, and can be seen on the 5 on Fox television show. Not only that, Fox News donated $100,000 for the first responders, which was awesome and shows the kindness of the Fox News.
Back to the news: Jessie Smolett was convicted on five of his six charges for orchestrating a hate crime that originally ignited anger in the Black community. Originally, Smolett reported that two white Trump supporters in MAGA hats assaulted him in downtown Chicago near his home, but the investigations never supported Smolett’s version. Incredibly, though, the Chicago District Attorney, Kim Fox, refused to pursue charges against Smolett despite ample evidence, and many people in the Black community were still stating that whites should be shamed for their involvement with hatred and prejudice against Black individuals.
But there was a HUGE outrage among Americans, with significant majorities of ALL races desiring that Smolett should be charged and prosecuted. A special prosecutor was assigned, with the resulting convictions on five of six of the charges. The only charge found not guilty was the “fake reporting of a crime to police.” No reasoning was given for that, but hopefully, this will set a precedent for people to understand the seriousness of our volatile society and prevent the events that make it worse for everyone, particularly Black individuals.
