Covid-19 Delta variant has almost completely run it’s course, now that news agencies have reported that it is down to 1%-3%. The latest variant, Omicron, is running it’s course, to the point that the various vaccines don’t worn against it. While it seems that this variant is more easily to catch and pass, it is much less deadly than the initial Covid-19 outbreak and its subsequent initial variants. In fact, as news reporting has evolved on issues with Covid, the authorities at CDC and even WHO have indicated that the Omicron variant has been most successful at initiating natural immunization, much like those who caught small pox and other SARS-related outbreaks have achieved immunity to those diseases.
Since the beginning of both college and NFL football games were played from the fall of 2021 to this week’s Super Bowl, very few people who went to the stadiums wore masks. In fact, the only states that one saw a mass usage of masks were in California and a couple of other states, and with this year’s premier NFL event held in Los Angeles, it is most likely that California officials will mandate the wearing of masks at all times within the stadium grounds. I assume that producers and their camera crews will be very careful to avoid showing any mask absconders in the stands in order to show the world that Covid is far from over, and in fact may never be over.
This will most probably prove to be a major mistake, however, as governments and around the world are dropping their vaccine and mask mandates like the plague, so to speak. In addition, their is a call from so many students at all levels: elementary, middle, and high school, as well as post-high school institutions. They are chanting and protesting to let the United States get back to normal and drop all Covid mandates. In fact, at this time that with the vast differences of enforcement around the globe, it makes no sense to have it, and instead advise the unvaccinated or those with susceptible health issues to take their own precautions with regard to taking any vaccine protocol or wearing a mask.
