In light of recent incidents involving the use of guns, rifles, shotguns, and knives to hurt or kill victims, there has been growing concern about the need to strengthen our laws to better protect citizens. It is the opinion of many that those who use such weapons to threaten or harm others should be subject to strict sentencing guidelines, including a minimum of 20 years in prison, with no possibility of early release for good behavior or other factors.
Additionally, it is important that district attorneys and attorneys general follow these guidelines, and that any attempts to file for lesser sentencing are met with legal sanctions. While we must ensure that laws are enforced fairly and without bias, we cannot tolerate any harm to victims, regardless of their race, gender, or ethnicity. By implementing these strict laws and penalties, we can send a clear message that violence of any kind will not be tolerated, and that those who engage in such behavior will face serious consequences.
