An earthquake has hit Japan, registering at 7.3 on the Richter scale, causing millions of dollars of damage as well as knocked out the electricity of over 4 million people. Despite the size, only four deaths and less than 100 people have been reported injured. Even so, Shockwave.us will send prayers to all of Japan.
Fox News reporter Benjamin Hall seems to be in high spirits and is stable and recovering well. We also send our prayers to his family and friends with all our love and caring for all reporters in harm’s way in Ukraine.
Today President Zelensky addressed the legislature and asked for weapons, anti-aircraft, food, ammunition, guns, and a host of defense weapons and Congress will send close to another billion dollars for defense, though strict scrutiny needs to be done to ensure the money goes toward defense-related items and not diverted for slush funds or other non-military-related activities. In the meantime, however, no one will be sending aircraft to the military heroes of Ukraine. In any case, there are indications that the war should end soon, so escalation in the form of adding troops from other countries should be used as an extreme last resort. Any foreign involvement will increase the likelihood of nuclear weapon deployment much greater…and the initial volley may not come from Russia.
Meanwhile, on the other side of Eurasia, China is watching this conflict closely, as it would like to attack Taiwan and return its governance to the Chinese Communist Party. Remember, Taiwan is officially called the Republic of China, while China itself is called the People’s Republic of China. Taiwan was actually founded as the original Chinese government in exile, so it will be interesting to see how this plays out.
