Derek Chauvin is sentenced today to 22.5 years in prison for his crimes against George Floyd. The sad particulars of this case is that Mr Floyd took 2.5 times of drugs to kill him and he died even if Chauvin didn’t use the legal knee to the back. If anything Chauvin should have let Mr. Floyd up and just wait for the ambulance. Mr. Floyd could have died from the overdose. Why kneel on the back of Floyd when he was subdued? That is more than likely what the jurors felt. Why contribute to his death sad the whole situation and these drug laws which allow drugs to be used with no help. Chauvin will most probably win his appeal down the road, but for now the situation is sad for everyone involved.
