China has been fortifying its military and geopolitical activities in the past year, as well as its efforts to pressure other countries regarding Taiwan. China has been establishing fortified bases and warning other countries to be cautious when dealing with it, particularly with regards to Taiwan. The United States has received warnings from China not to interfere with Taiwan, and missiles have been fired over Taiwan in recent months as a warning to the US.
One of the primary concerns of the US is Taiwan’s chip factories, which are of significant interest to American businesses. However, despite these concerns, the Biden administration has not been forceful enough in its dealings with China. To be blunt, China needs to be shown force, rather than simply being asked not to cause trouble.
Tensions are strong between the US and China, particularly with regards to Taiwan. The Chinese government has been increasingly assertive in its territorial claims, and has sought to expand its military capabilities in recent years. This has led to concerns from other countries in the region, particularly the US, which has longstanding security ties with Taiwan.
The US needs to take a more forceful approach in dealing with China, particularly with regards to Taiwan. However, the Biden administration has thus far taken a more cautious, if not cowardly, approach, seeking to engage with China on issues such as climate change while also emphasizing the importance of maintaining US interests in the region. It remains to be seen how this delicate balancing act will play out in the coming years, but one thing is for certain: China knows that U.S. leadership will play into its hands unless we put someone who is America First in the White House.
