California judge overturns assault weapon ban

In a blockbuster case, a California judge overturned the “assault weapons” ban.  Approximately 30 years ago, California banned guns colloquially known as “assault” weapons. The case centered on the question, “What comprises an assault weapon?” Nobody could answer that question. So now the California law is overturned, and now the ball is now in California hands. It is too soon to see whether the California AG will appeal this to a higher court, though it is likely to fail at the Supreme Court with its current roster.
