Elon Musk predicts catastrophic job prospects because of advancement of AI

Elon Musk makes news tonight as he and a few other leaders ask the America to halt on Artificial Intelligence because it could put a lot of workers out of jobs. For instance if you went to a fast food store like McDonalds, or Carls Jr, and it was staffed with machines with A.I. computers you could just place an order by talking into the machine, pay with a debit or credit card and then your food is prepared with a worker. In this case, the business owner can work with three or four less employees at the counter due to A.I. and now the store works with less people increasing a profit for the owner but we lost 3 to 10 workers over a 14 hour day.While this is technically not A.I. but rather automation, as the machines are not about making decisions but rather conveying information in a more efficient manner, A.I. itself will lead into providing less opportunities for many trying to get their foot in the door in various industries, and this is what Musk portends.
